| Real Estate Litigation – The members of this firm offer years of experience in real estate matters at the trial and appellate level. We have represented clients in state courts, federal courts, private arbitrations and mediations. Our cases arise in a variety of contexts, including the purchase and sale of real estate, foreclosures, mechanic’s liens, title and easement disputes, new construction, and remodeling, land use entitlements, and commercial leases. We serve small businesses, contractors, developers, homeowners, lenders, and real estate brokers in connection with real estate contract disputes, escrow claims, construction defects, mold rehabilitation, nuisance, and easements. We also represent individuals, businesses, lenders, and the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) in court proceedings to preserve and protect property interests, as well as the recovery of assets in bankruptcy proceedings. We are accessible to our clients, we promptly respond to all inquiries. We recognize as well that not all litigations are predictable and that regular communication is essential to ensure that our clients understand exactly what we are doing with their litigation dollars.
Real Estate Transactions – Drawing on our extensive knowledge and experience in real estate law, we provide transactional services to our real estate clients. We advise clients in real estate acquisition and sale, land use planning and development, construction contracts, commercial and retail leasing, and home owner association matters. We prepare management agreements for real property assets, and joint venture agreements for real estate developers. We also assist our clients in work-outs and settlements that combine buy-outs, real estate transactions, commercial leases, and loan documentation.
Advising Real Estate Professionals, General Contractors and Developers – Over the years, we have learned the importance of working with our clients to prevent disputes and litigation, or at least resolve such disputes at the earliest stage possible. We form new entities, such as limited liability companies and corporations, and help our clients update their documentation for existing entities so that they comply with current rules and regulations. We review and revise standard contracts for services taking into account how the business actually operates and how best to document that relationship with customers and clients. We advise as the first sign of a dispute emerges in an effort to avoid litigation and preserve the customer/client relationship. If those efforts fail, we work with our clients to carefully document the problem in preparation for mediation ,arbitration or litigation. |
