Juna Kim joined Cannata Ching & O’Toole as a Senior Associate in August 2009.
Ms. Kim participates in all aspects of civil litigation, and prior to joining Cannata Ching & O’Toole, her practice focused on construction, premises liability, and personal injury matters.
She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2004, and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. Ms. Kim obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science, Hon. B. Sc., in Toxicology and The Environment from the University of Toronto in 1998. She received her J.D. degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2003. During law school, Ms. Kim served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Saundra Brown Armstrong, U.S. District Court, Northern District of California.
Ms. Kim presently serves on the Board of Directors for the Asian American Bar Association (AABA). Prior to serving on AABA's Board of Directors, Juna served as Co-Chair of AABA's Civil Rights Committee from 2004-2008. As Co-Chair, she organized events for AABA members on issues such as civil rights, immigration, and employment law. Juna also currently serves as Vice Chair on the California Young Lawyers Association Board of Directors to represent young attorneys in San Francisco and Marin counties. The California Young Lawyers Association is one of the governing bodies of the State Bar of California. She is also a member of the San Francisco Bar Association.
