Michael M. Ching

Michael Ching joined the firm in July 2003. Prior to that he clerked for the Honorable Melvin K. Soong, First Circuit Court, State of Hawaii, and was later an associate at Alborg, Veiluva & Cannata LLP, where his practice focused on commercial and real property litigation, professional negligence defense, as well as consumer class action matters.

Mr. Ching was admitted to the California Bar in 2000 and the State Bar of Hawaii in 2002. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Northern, Central and Eastern Districts of California, and U.S. Court of Appeal, Ninth Circuit. He graduated from University of Hawaii , Manoa, dean's list honoree, in 1996 with a B.A., and from The University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2000 with a J.D.

During law school, Mr. Ching was a staff writer and an assistant comment editor for the Transnational Lawyer Law Review. He was also a teaching assistant to Professor John G. Spankling's real property class in 1998. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Asian American Bar Association, and Alameda County Bar Association.

Mr. Ching practice focuses on business and real property litigation, in which he has represented the firms institutional and individual clients in a variety of disputes in mediation and at trial across California. Mr. Ching brings to the firm his excellent legal research and writing skills, case management experience, and a genuine enjoyment of his business litigation practice. Mr. Ching was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and he currently resides in Oakland, California.
